Total Care Weekly FAQ

How much do you charge for Pool Cleaning Services?
  • Total Care Weekly Pool Maintenance Service has a $199.99 Startup fee, then $299.99 + Tax per month on pools up to 20,000 gallons (most pools).
  • 20,000 to 25,000 gallons, $50 extra per month.
  • 25,000 to 30,000 gallons, $100 extra per month.
  • Extremely large or multiple systems will be custom quoted on our initial visit.

How do you bill me for Weekly Service?

A Credit Card on file will be automatically processed on a monthly basis. The first payment will be processed upon starting service and will be prorated if necessary.

We currently have 2 billing cycles, one processed on the 1st-5th of the month, and one on the 15th-20th of the month as well. Your payment will be processed on one date or the other, depending on when service was started.

We understand credit cards expire, etc… but if payment is not able to be processed, service will be suspended until payment is received. We’ll make every attempt to contact you if this occurs.

Do you Give Credit for Rain Stops or Holidays?

No credit is given for rain stops. Heavy rain or thunder and lightning storms will get chemical only service with baskets and cleaner emptied. We can’t risk our technicians being electrocuted with a metal pole in a body of water while there’s lightning in the area. While service may be limited during a storm, the following week we will more than make up for lack of service with the amount of work and chemicals needed to bring the pool back to stable.

Extreme weather events such as a Hurricane or Tropical Storm will result in No Service. Depending on the severity of the storm there may be a cleanup charge which will be handled on a case by case basis.

We take off the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day – No Service
  • Independence Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
  • Labor Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
  • Thanksgiving Day – No Service
  • Week of Christmas – No Service

There will not be credits on the holidays with no service. To balance out Holidays throughout the year, we do not charge extra for months with 5 weeks.

Do you Include a Filter Clean with Weekly Service?

Our Total Care Starup service at $199.99 includes a Filter Clean Service so that we know where we are starting at with your pool.

The Pool Boys recommend 3 to 4 Filter Cleans per year. Total Care Weekly Customers are given a discounted rate of $125 per filter clean. We will notify you when it's time for a filter clean, and bill you for the additional payment once service is complete.

Our Total Care Weekly Pool Maintenance Service and Prices are for DE and Cartridge type filters only (the most common today). Sand Filter change outs will be handled on a case by case basis and will be custom quoted for each system.

Do You Require a Contract for Weekly Service?

No, we do not require contracts. If you need to cancel service for any reason, simply call our office to make arrangements for the final visit date. Keep in mind, Total Care Weekly now requires a $199.99 Total Care Startup to start new service again. If for some reason you are not happy with our service, please reach out to our Maintenance Manager at 832-473-5715 to address the issue immediately.

Pool Equipment Services FAQ

What are your service hours?

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
After hours by appointment only. Emergency Rate Applies.

Is there a Service Call Fee for the initial trip and diagnosis?

The Pool Boys Service Call Fee is $120.00 for an On Point Checkup Pool Equipment Inspection. This fee is to cover our time to send a Licensed, Insured, and Experienced Technician to your home to diagnose any issues with your pool and equipment and provide an estimate for any work.

NOTE: Our Service Call Fee is due at the time of scheduling and is refundable if you decide to cancel your appointment.

Do you repair underground leaks or do leak detection?

No, we do not repair underground leaks or offer any leak detection.

Do you provide emergency service? (After hours, Holidays, Weekends, etc)

If there is a situation that requires immediate service we will handle it case by case. An Emergency Service Call fee of $150 may be assessed. After Hours & Weekend Appointments may be subject to after hours/weekend hourly rate. In most cases the pool system can be shut down entirely until the next business day without causing damage.

If I purchase my own parts will you install them?

No. We do not provide installation services on customer supplied parts due to the liability of the part if it doesn't work once installed.

What type of warranty do you offer on work performed?

90 days on labor. Parts sold by The Pool Boys are covered by Manufacturer’s warranties and are subject to their terms. If you have a question about our warranty, feel free to contact us for more information.

Do you build, re-plaster, or do renovations to the actual pool?
We do not provide remodeling services.
Do I need to be home for The Pool Boys to diagnose and/or complete repairs to my pool equipment?

We prefer someone is home to speak with the technician that is performing the inspection or repair. In rare cases, you may not have to be home at the time of service, however you will need to be accessible by phone to approve any work that needs to be completed. If access to breakers or pool controllers inside of the house/garage is needed, special arrangements for access may need to be made.

NOTE: We may charge a $120 return trip fee if you confirm by phone when the technician is on his way, and when he gets there is not able to access the pool or equipment as needed.

The Pool Boys Office FAQ

Where is your office located?

The Pool Boys Office is located 2 blocks West of Highway 3, at 382 W Main St. in League City. We no longer have a retail showroom and do not stock retail pool supplies for sale. Call before you stop by to be sure we can assist you with your needs.

Do you sell Pool Supplies?

No, we no longer stock any pool supplies or chemicals for retail sale. We only stock chemicals for our Total Care Weekly customers. We are a Pool Maintenance and Pool Equipment Repair company.

Payment Information FAQ

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Cash, Bank Debit Card, Check.

Is there a deposit required to start a job?
All jobs over $400.00 require a 60% deposit prior to scheduling any work.
Do you have any financing available?
The Pool Boys does not offer any financing. We encourage our customers to go to LightStream for financing needed.
Can I send payment through the mail?
We ask that no payments are sent through the mail.
Will I be provided with a receipt for payment?
Yes, after all work is completed and final payment has been made you will receive an emailed receipt.
If my check is returned will I be charged?
There is $25.00 returned check fee.
