Total Care Weekly FAQ
A Credit Card on file will be automatically processed on a monthly basis. The first payment will be processed upon starting service and will be prorated if necessary.
We currently have 2 billing cycles, one processed on the 1st-5th of the month, and one on the 15th-20th of the month as well. Your payment will be processed on one date or the other, depending on when service was started.
We understand credit cards expire, etc… but if payment is not able to be processed, service will be suspended until payment received. We’ll make every attempt to contact you if this occurs.
No credit is given for rain stops. Heavy rain or thunder and lightning storms will get chemical only service with baskets and cleaner emptied. We can’t risk our technicians being electrocuted with a metal pole in a body of water while there’s lightning in the area. While service may be limited during a storm, the following week we will more than make up for lack of service with the amount of work and chemicals needed to bring the pool back to stable.
Extreme weather events such as a Hurricane or Tropical Storm will result in No Service. Depending on the severity of the storm there may be a cleanup charge which will be handled on a case by case basis.
We take off the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
- Independence Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
- Labor Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
- Thanksgiving Day – Service will be done before or after the holiday.
- Christmas Day and the Day After Christmas – No Service
There will not be credits on the holidays with no service. To balance out Holidays throughout the year, we do not charge extra for months with 5 weeks.
Upon starting service, we will clean your filter free ($130 value) so that we know where we are starting at with your pool.
In addition, there will be 2 routine maintenance filter cleans each year. The first one will happen in March or April and the second one will happen in September or October. These will be done automatically and are included in your monthly payment of $219.99 + Tax.
NOTE: You must be a Total Care Weekly customer for 2 months to be eligible for the bi-annual scheduled cleanings. New customers will have already received a free Filter Clean Service on Startup and will be good until the next cleaning cycle.
We will notify you of any filter cleanings needed outside of this and we will get your approval for the additional payment prior to service. These are rare cases when we need more than 2 filter cleans a year.
Our Total Care Maintenance Service and Prices are for DE and Cartridge type filters only (the most common today). Sand Filter change outs will be handled on a case by case basis and will be custom quoted for each system.
No, however, we do have a $250 Chemical Use Fee for Borates startup if you cancel service in the first 90 days. This Chemical Use Fee does not apply if you have sustained Total Care Weekly Service for a period of 3 monthly billing cycles before you cancel service.
Pool Equipment Services FAQ

The Pool Boys Service Call Fee is $75.00 for an On Point Checkup Pool Equipment Inspection. This fee is to cover our time to send a Licensed, Insured, and Experienced Technician to your home to diagnose any issues with your pool and equipment and provide an estimate for any work.
NOTE: Our Service Call Fee is due at the time of scheduling and is refundable if you decide to cancel your appointment.
No, we do not repair underground leaks or offer any leak detection.
If there is a situation that requires immediate service we will handle it case by case. An Emergency Service Call fee of $150 may be assessed. After Hours & Weekend Appointments may be subject to after hours/weekend hourly rate. In most cases the pool system can be shut down entirely until the next business day without causing damage.
We charge Double Labor for parts that are purchased from a 3rd party. Please understand that there will also be no warranty on our work and no assistance from The Pool Boys should any warranty issues occur. You will be solely responsible for contacting the Manufacturer to get any warranty claims going.
90 days on labor. Parts sold by The Pool Boys are covered by Manufacturer’s warranties and are subject to their terms. If you have a question about our warranty, feel free to contact us for more information.
We prefer someone is home to speak with the technician that is performing the inspection or repair. In rare cases, you may not have to be home at the time of service, however you will need to be accessible by phone to approve any work that needs to be completed. If access to breakers or pool controllers inside of the house/garage is needed, special arrangements for access may need to be made.
NOTE: We may charge a $75 return trip fee if you confirm by phone when the technician is on his way, and when he gets there is not able to access the pool or equipment as needed.

YES! We are an official Maytronics Warranty Center. Bring it by and we will handle the rest.
Note: We charge a $35 bench fee for cleaner repairs not under warranty.
