Pool Filters

There are three main types of in-ground pool filters – D.E. Filters, Cartridge Filters, and Sand Filters. The Pool Boys sell and service all 3 types of Pool Filters.

An issue with your pool filter can lead to pool water becoming cloudy or green. Our experienced service technicians can diagnose and repair any problems you are having with your pool filter. If you are looking to upgrade to a new filter, Hayward, Jandy, and Pentair all have new models of filters in a variety of sizes to fit your application. We also provide filter cleaning and sand change out services to keep your filter operating at its best.

If you are servicing your own filter and need new parts, we stock most common DE Cartridge filter elements at our League City Pool Supply store for the most popular Hayward and Jandy filters, along with many of the o-rings and wear items found on today's pool fitration systems. Give us a call at 832-473-5715 if you need parts or looking for a full filter replacement.

Common Pool Filter Problems

  • Water leaking from the filter.

  • PSI on gauge is high (30psi+)

Pool Filter Service Information

When contacting us about servicing your pool filter, its best to provide any information you have available. The pool filter manufacturer, model, size, and type are all important information if you plan to purchase parts directly from us.

Example: "My filter is a Pentair, FNS Plus, 60sqft, D.E. filter"

If you are emailing or calling us, its helpful to give a good description of the problem.

Example: If it is a water leak, where is the leak coming from - a crack? The metal band clamp? The air relief on top?

Again, if you are emailing us, any pictures you might have of the issue can help us get you fixed faster.

How to find the Manufacturer, Model, Size, and Type

All of the information for the filter can be found on a label somewhere on the filter tank. If your filter is older the label may have faded or come off of the filter. If this is the case then a picture can help us narrow things down.

In any case, give us a call at 832-473-5715 to schedule an appointment or even just to ask a question. We're here to help!
